Au Pied Du Mont-Blanc - Chamonix

Pros: We had an amazing time at Au Pied du Mont Blanc. The apartment is cosy and with an amazing view of the mountains. The location is so central just a short walk to the cable car to Aguile de Midi, buses right outside the building, a short walk into the main town centre. The apartment is well equipped with everything you need to make your stay perfect with all the cooking utensils, bed linen. Nothing has not been thought of so you really feel like you are staying at your own home. Our hosts were also brilliant, always contactable, very helpful and did everything to make our stay a memorable one, whether it was to give advice about what to do, where to eat. We were made so welcome. Thanks you so much for making our stay in Chamonix such a brilliant time. Steve and Ana

Excellent place to stay in Chamonix - highly recommend!

Pros: Very central, quiet, great view of the mountains and very responsive host. Make sure to avail of the Carte D’Hote for free travel on the train by registering with the Office du Tourism in centre of town.

Great value cosy apartment

Pros: Good value accomodation and very covenient for bus station and the vibrant town. The ski locker room steps lead directly to the bus stop - for onward travel to all of the Chamonix Valley ski areas. Cosy apartment with all you need for a comfortable stay - coffee pod machine, microwave oven, bath / shower etc. Annie greeting us with the keys was great (and she recommended a few good restaurants), and kept in contact for easy check-out.

Cons: One small wall mounted radiator in the bedroom - and one small portable radiator in the lounge (which we used all evening). We weren't cold, but as the aparment is above the lobby, the floor can be a little chilly in winter Generally very clean - but a few small things that could do with attention to detail (like hair in bath plughole) Whilst it is a great idea not to waste previous guests' food (eg. dried pasta), I think if the packet is opened, then it needs to be binned. These things were small issues that did not spoil our stay in any way.

Pros: Everything was perfect. The host was very kind, responsive and helpful. Whenever we needed anything he answered right away doing his best to make our stay as good as possible! The apartment was clean and fully equiped with anything we would need! Location is perfect, right next to the bus station and 5' walking from the centre. View from the apartment is also awesome, being able to see the glacier from your window! I would definitely recommend and I will stay again on my next Chamonix visit!

Pros: It had everything what we needed. Location was very central and close to everything.

Cons: We did not like the noise from the bus stop which was unfortunately all night but in the same time we liked to be close to the bus stop so it’s a plus and minus.

Small and cozy apartment in good location.

Pros: Amazing support with all necessary information from owners/staff. Easy to access and find. The location is close to the center, touristic places and transport. This small and cozy apartment has everything you need. Great bonus- parking lot!

Cons: It can be very noisy as the apartment is very close to main street. Not a calm area, but if you are the whole day hiking - it is fine.

A good value for enjoying an expensive playground

Pros: The location was very convenient, being right across from the bus station with as Spar supermarket just a 100 meters away. Checking in was also made very easy; no one met me, but I was given a door code into the building and there was a lock-box at the apartment, making it easy to enter. The apartment provided good value, especially for Chamonix, which can be expensive. Having a kitchen with all the basics allowed me to make my own dinner each night rather than going out.

Cons: Having stayed there five nights, the lack of comfortable furniture became noticeable. The bed was fine, and the chairs on the small outdoor patio were okay, but the sofa was virtually unusable. Maybe turned into a bed it would have been okay for laying down on, but it was very uncomfortable for sitting on. Also, the shower was very, very slippery. I've been in over 20 different places throughout Europe over the last four months, and this was the most dangerous shower/bath I've been in. I thought about taking my hiking sticks in with me. A bath mat is a must.

Amazing views with all the facilities you need.

Pros: The best view in town. Apartment had excellent facilities - coffee machine, washing machine, stove, dishwasher. Parking on site extremely convenient and location was really close to town. centre. Really well thought out by the owners for a comfortable stay. Easy checkin.

Cons: nothing.

Nice and cosy apartment with great mountain view.

Pros: Apartment is cosy and offers a beautiful mountain view. Apartment has everything what might be needed during the stay. Great location in a walking distance from main pedestrian street and activities. It was easy to communicate with the host.

Pros: The location, just across the street from the bus station and very close to the centre of Chamonix.

Cons: Hearing the noise from the street when trying to fall asleep.
