Wonderful stay in a characterful alpine home

Pros: Such a charming, characterful property with a most engaging and accommodating host. So many advantages of this accommodation choice over a hotel or self catered apartment.

Cons: Nothing significant to note. Being just a very short walk out of town, we didn’t need to use the bus very often - but when we did, the service could have been more frequent and shorter on the return leg from GME.

Pros: The chalet is perfectly located for those wanting to ski as it is directly opposite the bus stop which takes you to the Grand Massif Express.

Pros: Lovely friendly 2 bedroom B+B. Classy c wooden chalet, the room was large with a comfortable bed and small separate seating area. You eat breakfast on the great floor at Jeans table. Breakfast was a simple yet delicious croissants, bread rolls, nuts, fresh fruit, fresh juices, tea,coffee etc. plenty to eat. Host very attentive, English was pretty good and gave good recommendations for where to eat. It was easy to find although doesn't have a sign Google maps show a junction and it was the 2nd chalet up the road. Parking is fine. 2 good restaurants to recommend: Le Lodge and Mezzanine.

Cons: All great.

Pros: The traditional charm and excellent location near bus stop and easy walk to town. What really made our stay was our host Jean- Yves. A superb host, nothing was a problem and he gave superb restaurant recommendations. We were Family Porridge!

Pros: It was a good stay. Very close to the centre of the ville and to the ski telecabins. Jean- Yves was very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay.Typical french breakfast which was okay. Room was spacious and comfortable.

This apartment was very close to the centre of Samoens. It was very comfortable with lots of space and continental break

Pros: It was quaint, really lovely, convenient and very Savoyard. The host was excellent and very engaging - he was just lovely. I would really stay here again and very good value.

Perfect. A great stay, with a great host, in a great location!

Pros: An amazing property in a fantastic location, right on the doorstep of the slopes and a selection of beautiful bars and restaurants in town. Jean-Yves was a wonderful host and provided a fantastic fresh breakfast every day. He spent a lot of time with us on our arrival to talk about Samoëns, the skiing, and the best local restaurants.

Pros: Very cute and comfortable chalet, very authentic and at walking distance from the centre of Samoëns. Jean Yves is such a pleasure, incredibly welcoming and warm he gives the chalet its heart and charm
