Gem of a hotel

Pros: Super hotel! The location is excellent, only a very short walk to Samoëns village where there’s apres ski bars, restaurants, but also pony rides and other activities for kids. Beds very comfy, great pressurised hot shower. Everything clean and modern. Helpful staff on reception. Good beers in the bar. Ski bus just outside the hotel which takes you to the cable car in 5-10 mins

Cons: Breakfast was a good continental - no fry up (if this is important to you), and I’d recommend getting down there early as they run out of pastries by about 9am. It was good quality, even some unusual fruit breads you can toast, and all by a beautiful big window of the mountains.. Entertainment is in French and we were the only non-French there- This didn’t bother us but worth bearing in mind if it bothers you.

Would rebook this hotel. Exceeded expectations.

Pros: Location, view. Great room, very clean, spacious, comfortable bed, immaculate sheets. Good breakfast.

Cons: Nothing.

Above our expectations for the price that we paid.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent, much better than we expected. Even had a fresh orange press. Proper croissants too. Lovely large room and bathroom with walk in shower and really hot water. Short walk into town.

Cons: There wasn't any parking available when we arrived and we were told to go park down at the school, which was apparently close by. We weren't too happy about this, but luckily when we checked the car park again, a space had become free.

OK but I expected more of this hotel - the description is holiday village, so maybe my mistake

Pros: Location was good. Breakfast was OK - included fresh fruit, some cold meat/ cheese and cereals. There was the opportunity to make sandwiches for lunch which was great. When I stayed, the place was filled with elderly groups I guess on walking tours and they seemed to be enjoying themselves. Facilities seemed OK but pool opening times meant I couldn't use it. WiFi worked well. My room was large and comfortable. The shower/ toilet had been newly refurbished and was nice

Cons: The dining/ breakfast room is like a factory canteen rather than a hotel's breakfast room and the lighting is like a hospital waiting room ! Not very inviting. There are no hot / cooked options for breakfast. Limited toiletries in room- 1 small tube of shower gel and a small soap - 4 day stay - I had to ask for another.

Quiet and peaceful night stay

Pros: Friendly and professional staff, very spacious rooms, everything really clean and high quality. Disabled access everywhere. The beds were really comfortable.

Cons: Instant coffee for breakfast was a real letdown. The bike storage room did not feel very secure.

An residential centre, with functional facilities suited to active holiday makers and groups.

Pros: This is a holiday centre, so it is more like a (YHA) youth hostel rather than a hotel, but for older active couples rather than any other demographic (at least during my short stay). So, the room is basic, although importantly, the bed and linen was very comfortable but space is kept to a minimum and the bathroom is functional. But, the building had a great range of facilities, including a swimming pool, sauna and games room with pool, table tennis and table football - just what you'd expect in a residential centre. It would be a great place to be based for an activity-style holiday, as you'd be sharing with like-minded walkers, cyclists and skiers (in the winter). Probably one of the most pleasant, structured and useful welcomes to any accommodation/ hotel I have ever had - great staff.

Cons: Very much a community-based activity centre, meaning the need to share a table at dinner/ breakfast with groups of people who seem to know one another.
