Park Hotel Suisse & Spa

The Park Hotel Suisse & Spa is a family run hotel with traditional design. Located in the city centre of Chamonix, it offers a roof-top spa with a panoramic view over the Mont Blanc. The spa includes an outdoor swimming pool & 2 hot tubs, two saunas, Turkish bath, massage rooms and a relaxation room. Also on the roof top our summer bar ! The spa includes a sensory shower. Access to our spa is not available before check-in and after check-out. Access to the spa is included in each of your reservations subject to availability, maximum capacity of 40 people. Children from 3 years to 16 years old are allowed at the SPA only from 10h30 to 12h30, but only under supervision of an adult and in accordance with our spa being a place for well-boing. Children under 3 years Old are forbidden at the spa. The hotel has comfort rooms, superior rooms and standard rooms. All have a mountain view and most have a balcony. They are equipped with a private bathroom, separate toilet, hairdryer, mini bar, satellite TV, telephone and safe. A buffet breakfast is served daily. Guests can enjoy the hotel shaded terrace and order a selection of drinks and snacks from the bar. Happy hours are available from early evening, cocktails and plates of regional specialties, including a selection of cheeses and cold cut meats, can be served. The hotel features a fitness centre with a rowing machine, a treadmill, an exercise bike, a cross-trainer and weights. Gym classes are available for an extra charge. The Park Hotel Suisse is opposite the Tourist Information Office and only 50 metres from the bus stop, where shuttles take guests to all ski lifts in Chamonix.

Great for skiing in the mountains

Pros: Great location, right in the centre of town, short walk to the ski buses

Cons: Breakfast was really average and wouldn’t pay 25 euro for it

Breathtaking!

Pros: The staff are amazing, they couldn’t do enough for us….. they made my husbands birthday. We stayedin katyas suite which had stunning views over Mont Blanc…… we will definitely be back again….. the location is great x

We loved our stay

Pros: It has an extensive breakfast with all cultures covered. Raffah who was on reception showed excellent customer service at all times. From helping with checking in after a 30 hour journey, storing bags as necessary, helping with a discount card for ski hire,lending us a stock as we lost one. The beds were very comfortable, great size rooms, excellent ski storage, and spa, steam and hot tub included in our stay. So close to all the centre of town, so many restaurants to choose from, close to ski hire , tourist bureau and the bus stop to take you to various options for the mountains you can ski on. I would definitely stay there again.

The rooms were comfortable and hotel very cozy . The location was perfect.

Pros: Location was excellent. The standard Room was lovely and comfortable. Staff were courteous and helpful. The out door roof top pool was spectacular and a nice temperature. The spa facilities were a really nice addition to our stay.

Cons: The temperature of the hot tub and jacuzzi could have been higher .

Perfect location with facilities for a relaxing mountain holiday

Pros: Location was perfect. The spa facilites on the rooftop were the highlight of our stay. The room was large and comfortable with everything we needed.

Cons: The temperature of the jacuzzis and outdoor pool could do with being set higher. The walls are pretty thin so we were kept awake one night by some noisy neighbours.

Pros: Great value for money. Wonderful location in heart of Chamonix. The reception, bar, foyer and restaurant area are lovely. A place you want to stay and sit. The spa on the roof is a gem and I had a lovely time in jacuzzi on roof looking out to mountains on first night. And the rest of spa is lovely. Great Hamman and relaxation area, particularly pretty at night.

Cons: Whilst the facilities offered at this hotel were exceptional for price (spa especially) I would say maybe there is a little problem with the rooms themselves? The standard room we were given was next to inner courtyard and the windows were level with machinery connected to the restaurant. This was loud and made a very loud humming noise. I inquired at reception and was told this would stop before night time. But the room also had a strong and strange odour (possibly food smells from restaurant machinery?). It was becoming impossible to ignore it. It was so strong we then went to desk again to ask if we could be moved. The lady dispatched to deal with our issue was lovely and sympathetic. She was however told by her superiors to tell us that the hotel was very full and if we wanted another room we would need to pay to upgrade to a superior room. I didn't feel this was fair as we shouldn't be asked to pay extra to resolve the problem. I went back to the desk and explained my feelings and they said they did have another standard room available after all. Although they seemed disgruntled that the housekeeping team had finished for day and it felt as if we were inconveniencing them. We were moved to a much better room and I'm grateful they resolved it for us in the end. We had a lovely stay. However, I think thw problems with rooms like this need addressing around that courtyard area. Maybe soundproofing? And some way of tackling odour?
