Never a bad day in Chamonix

Pros: perfect location, walking right into the trails and pistes around. Nice walk to Chamonix too. Staff is super friendly and organized.

Cons: I spent little time inside as it is so gorgeous outside! If I can note one detail… heating system and overall room equipment are quite old, but honestly you don’t need more!

Brilliant weekend away

Pros: Very friendly staff. Good value drinks. Useful to have the ski storage and great locations for access to Chamonix and Flegere gondola.

Cons: The door to our doom was a little difficult to lock, I think the handle was a bit loose, but otherwise no issue.

Clean and comfy yet affordable with peaceful location

Pros: Clean and lovely hotel/hostel with peaceful location but still decent walking distance from centre. Good breakfast too. I loved the soft beds.

Cons: Shared dorm rooms were a touch on the small side

Set within the forest, near a river, a cross country ski area and with views of the mountains. Magic

Pros: Arveyron hotel is set idyllically close to a beautiful river and forest, with a cross country ski route literally passing around it. (the stars at night are magical). The main area of the hotel feels so warm and chalet like, perfectly Alpine with lots of wood and big windows that allow just a moment of quiet to look outward at the mountains. The dorm room showers are great too. But beyond all this, it's always been the people, the team who work there that have kept me returning. They are all so welcoming, friendly, speak incredible English but help me keep learning French. They do all they can to support any needs of people staying there. I can't express how wonderful Arveyron is but the fact i continue going back so often is telling in itself.

Pros: Very warm family little guesthouse with cozy rooms and friendly staffs. The rooms were not the most polished but comfortable enough and at this price point a great value for money. We stayed there for our kids birthday and after we emailed them they surprised my kids with cards and balloons on our bed (the toy fox was ours, but the way they set it all up was cute isn’t it?). We are very grateful of their kindness and efforts!

Good for solo skier or young couple.

Pros: Nice staff, great view, location in the forest near the river.

Cons: Very small room for 2 people, with some parts of the ceiling too low. Small window. Location far from the grocery shops, with restaurant food too expensive.

Lovely views

Pros: A cute chalet but the local bus service is infrequent after 8 pm

Cons: The heater in my room didn’t work and there were No staff to assist

Definitely recommend, and will come back again!

Pros: Location, facilities and very friendly and helpful staff!

Cons: Very comfortable 1 bedroom apartment with living room with wood stove , wooden design all throughout , and really warm rooms.
