Hotel Le Castel

Incredible location, lovely staff, and very luxury feel to the room.

Pros: The location is perfect, so close to the Gondola up the mountain, and easy to get a 15 min bus to Le Tour for a different ski area also. Very clean and luxury feeling room, great space.

Cons: There wasn’t ever anybody at reception which was the only downside, I wasn’t sure if the restaurant staff were also hotel staff or if they were separate so didn’t know who to ask about check in/check out or general information. Everyone I spoke to was really nice however, I just wished it was clear if someone was working on reception.

I am very happy about my stay.

Pros: Breakfast was ok although not too many gluten-free options. The location is ok, spectacular landscape.

Cons: It was cold in the bathroom. There was no warm water a couple of times.

Exceptional room with a view in a lovely property

Pros: Our room with a balcony over looking the mountains was exceptional and the facilities were excellent - definitely a room with a view. The restaurant food was also very good and the staff were helpful.

Cons: The breakfast at 18 Euros was overpriced so we did not repeat on our second morning.

Pros: Beautiful, peaceful setting with wonderful views of Mont Blanc and Aguille de Midi. Food was excellent, as were the staff.

Cons: Breakfast choice was limited and rooms could benefit from USB charge points.

Pros: The hotel is in a great position with spectacular views of the mountains and glaciers from all sides. It is a couple of Km's from the center of Chamonix, however there are buses which run from just outside the hotel on a regular basis and also a train service from the little station about 150m away. The hotel has a good restaurant and bar and there are others in the local village. Our room was very clean and comfortable and had a balcony with views of the mountains. The staff were very helpful, providing information and booking taxis.

Luxuriously furnished, friendly hotel.

Pros: Lovely hotel, luxuriously furnished. Big room. Comfy bed. Lovely big ensuite .. his n her sinks. Great air con. Very friendly staff. Lovely breakfast and staff helpful. Free Car parking right opposite hotel.

Cons: It's a wee bit out of town but there are free buses ( we didn't use)

Pros: This is a fantastic small hotel for skiers. Right next to the Flegere gondola and the bus stop (for easy access to Les Houches and Le Tour). Sunny terrace for apres ski drinks, with music. Great restaurant if you want to stay put, but 10 minute easy bus/uber ride to the centre of Chamonix. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. The staff are helpful, if a little chaotic at times.

Gem of a hotel with great staff and a great location for the Flegere-Brevent ski area.

Pros: Lovely clean comfortable rooms, with a great powerful hot shower. Really nice traditional chalet styling. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great restaurant downstairs. Breakfast was simple but all you need really (could do with some better coffee options - just a machine doing black coffee). Next to the bus stop to get around the Chamonix valley and opposite the Flegere lift, which made it really convenient. Free parking opposite the hotel. We had a great stay and will be back!

Cons: Better coffee options at breakfast - currently just a machine.
