Vert Lodge Chamonix

Originally built in 1851, Vert Lodge is an original piece of Chamonix History and is located next to Gaillands Lake and Climbing Wall, only 15 minutes' walk from the centre. Lots of public and private parking is available. All refurbished in January 2021, the guest rooms each contain USB plugs, a TV, lots of storage and a private bathroom. Shared dorms and capsule beds are also available. There is a large bar with pool table and a restaurant offering an international menu with half-board options available. Outside, the hotel features a large garden area with plenty of seating and a hammock to relax in. STaff are happy to provide help and advice, and lift tickets and rental equipment is available on site. There is a bus stop directly outside the hotel and a Pelerins SNCF Train Station 300 metres away. Geneva Airport can be reached in just over an hour by car.

Perfect place to stop for ski

Pros: Awesome place to stay with cool set-up of rooms. Stayed in the annexe, had everything we could need and more. Had an amazing view of the mountain too. Storage rooms for ski, breakfast, clean place will definitely stay again!

Cheap and cheerful! I got my money's worth. Ideal place to stay for skiing. Good for solo travellers

Pros: Rooms were comfortable and warm. Good location - right next to a bus stop. Friendly bar where you can meet people, friendly bar staff. Good selection of food to buy at the bar. Breakfast had good selection. Room to leave skiis to dry. Good ski rental service - drops them off at the hotel and picks them up from hotel.

Cons: Checkin service could be improved - I arrived at 17:30 and it was a bit confusing because there wasn't really a reception desk as such but the bar staff were friendly and directed me.

Pros: Close to the city center, clean and comfy. Everything was made super easy for check in, out and everything else

Great value for money, and would stay again.

Pros: The location was great, just outside of town to escape the business but within a 15 minute walk into town. There is a bus stop right outside the lodge. Free breakfast was basic, but a great addition.

Cons: There is no serviced reception or staff hanging around, which would have been great to ask questions.
